School Dormitory Management System in PHP My SQL with source code

Only the management has access to this school dormitory management system. Only users who have registered with the system can access its features and functions. The Administrator and Staff roles are the two different categories of system users. To utilize the application's features and functionalities, both Users must log in using their system credentials. Staff Users have only restricted access to and control over the system's features and functionalities compared to Administrator Users.

The management of the list of dorm buildings, the rooms in each dorm, and the student accounts is made possible by this dormitory management system. While use the system for the first time, management must first populate the list of residences, rooms, and students. Users set up accounts for students, then assign them to rooms that have slots open. Upon making an account, the student who already has an active account will be instantly removed from the student selections. Moreover, the account registry's room option only displays rooms with open spaces.

The name of this project is School Dormitory Management System. This project is a web-based application that was created using PHP and a MySQL database. The university or college residence halls can handle their monthly collections and records using this project's online and automated platform. The system has a variety of functions, including accounts for the dorms for students. Admin template and the Bootstrap Framework were used to create the application. It has features and functionalities that are user-friendly.

How to setup this project

Step 1st. Download xampp PHP Version 8.0.7

Step 2nd. Text editor notepad++ or Sublime

Step 3rd. Download the zip file/ Download winrar

Step 4th. Extract the file and copy “dms” folder

Step 5th. Paste inside root directory/ where you install xampp local disk C: drive D: drive E: paste: for xampp/htdocs,

Step 6th. Open PHPMyAdmin http://localhost/phpmyadmin

Step 7th. Create database name dms_db.sql

Step 8th. Import dms_db.sql file given inside the zip package in SQL file folder

Step 9th. Run the script http://localhost/dms

Step 10th. Password: username:admin / password :admin123
